Today, Suzuki Motorcycle India launched the BS6 V-Strom 650XT ABS at a starting price of Rs 8.84 lakh (ex-showroom), India. The motorcycle will be sold in 2 colour options namely Champion Yellow No. 2 and Pearl Glacier White. First unveiled at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo, this is the first BS6 compliant big bike to be launched by the Japanese automaker. Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT is an adventure tourer motorcycle best suited for daily commute, long rides and off-roading. From today, the two-wheeler is available at Suzuki's big bikes dealerships across the country for bookings and purchase. The All-New BS6 Suzuki V-Strom 650XT ABS rivals against the likes of 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 in its category.

Updated V-Strom 650 XT does not feature any major design changes in comparison to the outdated BS4 bike. One can spot stylish tail lights for more visibility on the roads. Talking more in detail about the newly-launched Suzuki V-Strom 650XT ABS, the lightweight frame comes with steady handling and manoeuvrability on different road conditions. The manufacturer has added Suzuki Easy Start System, it allows the rider to start the bike with a push of a button. Further, the three-mode traction control system (2 Mode + OFF Mode) provides the rider control over the engine and is hugely effective in difficult terrains. With this new traction control, the rider can prevent the rear wheel from spinning. For additional traction and braking performance on difficult terrain, the bike comes loaded with lightweight Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Further, it boasts of a multi-function instrument panel that offers information like trip meter, fuel gauge, speed among others.

2020 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS is powered by a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 645cc 90° V-twin engine. Its performance figure is quite similar to that of the outdated BS4 model which delivered 70 bhp of power output and 62 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

“V-Strom has made its own following in India. The ultimate adventure tourer has proved its mettle in the highway touring capabilities while exploring different terrains. It is truly a masterpiece with the ultimate balance provided by the natural riding position, comfortable seat and the flexible engine character. This is our first BS6 compliant big bike and we are confident that this cleaner and greener motorcycle will continue to win people’s hearts with its performance and manoeuvrability as it hit the Indian roads”, commented Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd at the time of the launch.
