BS6 Yamaha MT-15 Price Increased in India

BS6 Yamaha MT-15 gets a price hike on the Ice Fluo Vermillion color option only.

Yamaha Motor India has announced a price hike on its BS6 MT-15. The Yamaha MT-15 that was previously priced at Rs 1,39,400 (ex-showroom) now gets a price hike of Rs 500. Therefore new price of Yamaha MT-15 is Rs 1,39,900 (ex-showroom). This price hike is applicable to only the Ice Fluo Vermillion color option.

The BS6 Yamaha MT-15 was launched in February 2020. It is available in three color options namely Metallic Black, Dark Matt Blue, and Ice Fluo Vermillion. The Metallic Black variant and the Dark Matte Blue variant is priced at Rs 1,38,900 (ex-showroom). While the Ice Fluo Vermillion color option was earlier priced at Rs 1,39,400 (ex-showroom).

The Ice Fluo Vermillion color option of the BS6 Yamaha MT-15 is the only one to offer red alloy wheels. The front fascia gets a Bi-functional LED headlight. The rear end gets an LED taillamp. At the side, the motorcycle gets a stand engine cut-off.  Other highlight features include a fully-digital instrument cluster with negative display, single-channel ABS, Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), and slipper clutch.

Under the frame, all three color options draw power from a revised 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 18.5 bhp max power and 14.1 Nm of peak torque. The same engine powers the BS6 Yamaha R15 V3.0, which has also received a price hike. Yamaha Motor India is likely to launch the BS6 FZ 25 and the FZS 25 post lockdown.
