The car will feature 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options.

The company has already begun sending cars to showrooms and it is expected to announce prices in the first half of next month.

The Captur for India will come with two engines – the company’s 1.5-litre K9K diesel, which makes 110hp and the 1.5-litre petrol, which puts out 106hp and 142Nm. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist and the company claims the Captur is also certified for offset frontal and lateral crash.

There will be a fully loaded top-spec variant called Platine, that comes with LED headlamps with daytime running lamps and Audi-like dynamic turn indicators, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Car will come with lots of personalisation options, including allowing you to pick from different interior and exterior bits like contrast roof options and graphics.

Bookings are now officially open.
