The Captur has both 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options.

The company has already begun dispatching cars to Renault showrooms across the country and it will be launched officially on November 6, 2017.

The Captur for India is built on the same platform as the Duster and will come to India with two engine options, the familiar 1.5-litre K9K diesel that makes 110hp and a 1.5-litre petrol which churns out 106hp and 142Nm. The car comes fitted with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist. The company says the car is certified for offset frontal and lateral crash. The top-spec car, called the Platine, will include LED headlamps with daytime running lamps and Audi-like dynamic turn indicators, and 17-inch alloy wheels. There are lots of personalisation options available, including unique interior and exterior bits like contrasting roof options and graphics.

Bookings are now officially open.
