John Abraham added two new superbikes namely BMW S 1000 RR and Honda CBR 1000RR-R to his bike collection

Dhoom actor John Abraham is well-known for his bike collection. He rose to stardom on the back of thrill riding of superbikes like the Hayabusa in the hindi movie Dhoom back in 2004. Most of us know and his Instagram account further reconfirms that John's bike collection is nothing short of stunning. In a new post, one can see inclusion of new superbikes like BMW S 1000 RR and Honda CBR 1000RR-R to his burgeoning bike collection. COVID-19 led to delay of Abraham’s 3 movies releases namely Mumbai Saga, Attack and Satyameva Jayate 2. With time on hand, John certainly spent it well by testing multiple bikes before making a decision to buy the new superbikes. BMW S 1000 RR price starts from Rs 18.50 lakhs (ex-showroom) India, while Honda CBR 1000RR-R has not been launched yet with booking opened so far. The bike will reportedly cost around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), India.

John's affinity for superbikes is evident with his garage housing iconic names like Ducati Panigale V4, Yamaha Vmax, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 R and MV Agusta F3 800. With the addition of the latest superbikes, John Abraham's bike collection would be making other celebrities envious maybe with the exception of cricketer - MS Dhoni. Both have been spotted discussing superbikes when they met for the first time. Interestingly, both bikes come in a shade of black with the manufacturer giving a different name to the colour scheme. BMW S 1000 RR comes in Black Storm Metallic paint shade while the Fireblade retails in Matte Pearl Black Morion Black colour option.

BMW S 1000 RR is powered by a 999cc water oil-cooled 4-cylinder 4-stroke in-line engine. The superbike delivers 207 bhp of maximum power output  @13,500 rpm and 113 Nm @11,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox with straight cut gears. The bike can reach a top speed of 299 kmph. Suspension duties are taken care of by upside-down telescopic fork upfront and WSBK aluminium swing arm towards the rear. Braking responsibilities are handled by twin discs in the front and a single-disc brake at the rear. Standard features on-board are DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), HSC (Hill Start Control), Shift Assist Pro, 6.5-inch TFT display among others. Further, the bike enthusiasts can look forward to 4 riding modes namely Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race.

On the other hand, 2020 Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade is powered by a liquid-cooled 4-stroke 16-valve DOHC inline-4 engine. The superbike is expected to deliver 215 bhp of power output @14,500 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque @12,500 rpm. The engine comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox alongside slipper assist clutch. The engine is the most powerful one developed by Honda so far, it is inspired by MotoGP competing RC213V bike and RC213V-S. 43mm Showa piston forks at the front and Pro-link system towards the rear take care of suspension duties. Other exciting features onboard the superbike include traction control, 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) sourced from Bosch, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), wheelie control, 3 default riding modes among others.
