Quite a lot was expected of the 205hp Honda Civic Si, especially about how much the company would play around with horsepower. With all the new features, Honda updating the 250hp to a snappier power output was assumed to be obvious but it seems the company decided to stick with the same level of performance.
Power hasn't been completely neglected - the car can produce 260Nm of torque. Honda has revealed the Civic Si coupé and sedan for the North American market. Both Si models come with Honda’s 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. These variants will be stiffer than previous models, so this might work in enhancing the speed of the machine considerably. The engines are paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The car also comes with adaptive dampers, larger 12.3-inch front brake rotors and upgraded limited-slip differential and an upgraded power steering system, as well as the option of performance tyres to work alongside the upgraded brakes.
The car will run on 18-inch wheels and comes with a keyless locking system, dual-zone automatic climate control and rain-sensing wipers. Other than that, the interiors are furnished with red stitching, and there are carbon-fibre bits and aluminium highlights on the dials, pedals and gear knob. According to Honda, this is the best handling Si yet.
