The British luxury car maker, Jaguar has been producing various type of vehicles starting from sedans, crossovers to electric vehicles and even race cars. Jaguars racing heritage can be traced back from the late 1940s.
Seventy years ago, in 1948, Jaguar rolled out the XK120 and since then the company has been producing sports cars and have built legendary cars like E-Type, XK and XJ220. To celebrate the mark of 70 years, Jaguar has manufactured a special edition of F-Type, called the F-Type Chequered Flag Edition.
The special edition is based on the R-Dynamic trim with exterior design pack. It gets many special and unique touches like a blacked out roof, 20-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, performance seat wrapped with Windsor leather, brushed aluminium accents on centre console, special steering wheel with chequered flag logo and special badges on the outside.
The car will be available in both coupe and convertible body style. There will be two engine options – a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit rated to produce 296 BHP and 400 Nm of torque or even more powerful 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine that churns out 380 BHP and 460 Nm of torque. The transmission mated to both the engines is an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 2.0-litre unit will be a rear wheel drive vehicle, whereas the V6 variant will be an all-wheel drive car.
