Force Motor Sells Ambulance to Andhra Pradesh Government

1000 units of force motor ambulances were delivered to andhra pradesh government in fight against covid-19.

India is currently plagued by coronavirus pandemic with cases reaching to a whole new height of half a million. The country is dedicating resources to identify covid-19 hotspots and provide swift medical relief to the infected citizens. States across india are purchasing various equipment like high-end medical devices, ppe kits, and ventilators. The hospitals are being stocked with medicines as well as hiring essential frontline medical workers. Apart from equipment, state governments are purchasing ambulances to deliver efficient medical services to the interiors as well as admitting the infected citizens. Andhra pradesh which currently has 15,000 plus active covid-19 cases received the delivery of 1000 force motor ambulances. 


The force ambulances delivery includes 130 advanced life support and 282 basic life support ambulances. Apart from the ambulances, the andhra pradesh government also received 656 mobile medical units. The pune-based automaker claims that the ambulances are compliant with the national ambulance code. The mobile medical units are equipped with covid-19 screening facilities for quick testing of suspected covid-19 cases. The andhra pradesh citizens can dial 104 for coronavirus testing. 


Quoted by various media outlets, prasan firodia, managing director, force motors, said, "The ongoing pandemic has suddenly highlighted the inadequacies in our healthcare system. It is very heartening to see that local administrations and state governments are responding quickly by upgrading their public health delivery systems. We are very happy that the govt. Of ap reposed their trust in the proven and reliable range of force traveller ambulances and look forward to supporting such initiatives in other states."


Force motors classified the type b ambulances as a basin one that’s purpose is to transport the patient in case no treatment during transit is needed. Type c or basic life support ambulance is required when the patient needs basic health monitoring during transit plus non-invasive airway management. Type d denotes the advanced life support ambulance, it carries critical patients who need invasive airway management. Type d ambulances come with an integrated provision for housing critical life-saving equipment like spine board, bp apparatus, defibrillator, scoop stretcher, transport ventilator etc.
