The engine will first make its debut in the EcoSport and Ford will manufacture them here. This full-aluminium engine is believed to be around 10 percent lighter than the current unit.
The company is also preparing an all-new hatchback and a sedan – codenamed B562 and B563 – that will rival Hyundai’s i20 and Honda’s City.
