Ford India has launched the Figo automatic at a starting price of Rs 7.75 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being offered in Titanium and Titanium+ trims, the automatic hatchback carries all the features of its manual counterpart. Ford Figo automatic can be booked via a dedicated online portal which enables the buyers to select, book and avail doorstep delivery of the hatch. The newly launched automatic variants of the Ford Figo will be at loggerheads with the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Swift and Tata Tiago in the Indian market.
Ford Figo Automatic Features
Ford Figo AT features include Rain-sensing wipers, electrochromic IRVM and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Ford Pass. It is the only automatic vehicle in its segment to get FordPass connectivity solution with no extra cost at all. It enables the driver to perform an array of functions such as starting, stopping, locking or unlocking a vehicle–remotely via the FordPass app. The hatch has been equipped with a myriad of premium safety equipment in the form of 6-airbags, traction control system, electronic stability control and hill launch assist.

The hatchback is available in five single-tone color choices namely Diamond White, Ruby Red, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey and White Gold. The Figo AT is offered in two trims namely Titanium and Titanium+ at prices of Rs 7.75 Lakhs and Rs 8.20 Lakhs, respectively.
Ford Figo Automatic Engine
Ford Figo automatic is powered by the same BS6 compliant 1.2L 3-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine as the manual variants. The engine delivers a class-leading power output of 95 bhp and torque performance of 119 Nm. It is linked to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission which comes with Sports Mode and SelectShift features. The SelectShift feature lets the driver change gears manually with the help of a toggle switch on the gearshift lever. Ford is offering a standard warranty of 3 years/1 Lakh kilometres with longer service intervals of 10,000 kms. Furthermore, Ford Figo automatic service cost for the 1st year is only Rs 1,313 while it gets only a bit higher to Rs 4,097 in the 10th year of ownership.
As per sales of Maruti when taken into consideration, the company scored for around 36% sales which was almost equal to the cumulative sales of Mahindra.
