Ford has teased a new image of an all-electric SUV with its rear design heavily inspired by the iconic Ford Mustang.

The first image of all-electric SUV from Ford is released. The design from the most legendary Ford Mustang is retained. There are three rear lights arranged vertically. A completely new team is developing the Mach 1.

Ford is designing the electric vehicle for the global market. The company uses an all-new C2 platform to develop it. This C2 platform is very flexible, which allows the manufacturer to create many versatile vehicles on this platform.

The new Mach 1 is code-named CX430. This will sit along with Ford Kuga/Escape line-up. Ford expects the electric vehicle to have a range of around 500 km. The car will be revealed in 2019 following its sales from 2020.
