The British Carmaker's XE SV Project 8 recorded a lap time of 7:21:23.

The XE SV Project 8 is the company’s fastest production car, and it has broken the past record of being the fastest 4-door sedan on Nüburgring. The Jaguar covered the 20.8km track in 7:21:23, beating the previous lap record holder, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, which did it in 7min 32sec.

The XE SV is the second special-edition car introduced by SVO. A spokesperson from the company said that more than a hundred XE SVs were sold prior to the car’s debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car is powered by Jaguar’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine and makes a massive 600hp. The XE SV is all-wheel drive unlike the project 7, which is rear-wheel drive.

The engine sends power via a specially tuned version of eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The Project 8 can hit 100kph in 3.3 seconds.
