Japanese bike maker Suzuki recently launched their Gixxer 250, the naked version of Gixxer SF 250 in the Indian market and the price of the bike is Rs. 1.6 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Now the brand has gone ahead and has unveiled the range of official accessories that it will offer with the bike in India. These accessories aim to enhance not just the looks but even the functionality of the bike as well. However, what is interesting about the accessories that the Japanese maker is offering for their Gixxer 250 is that most of the accessories are focused on enhancing the touring capabilities of the naked bike. These accessories can be bought at the dealership itself. Here's a list of all the accessories that the maker is offering for the Gixxer 250 in India.
1. Knee grip pads
2. Tank pad
3. Black-finished leg guard/crash protector
4. DC socket for phone charging
5. Knuckle guards
6. Bash plate which fits under the engine
7. Saddlebags
These accessories will together help the customers of the Gixxer 250 to get the most out of their naked bikes. While the knee grip pads will prevent the tank from scratches it will also help more grip while riding. The same can be said about the tank pads being offered by the brand. Other accessories like the saddlebags, bash plate, knuckle guards, and DC USB charging socket will make the bike even friendlier for longer distance tours.
The underlying mechanicals of the Gixxer 250 remain the same as the one seen on the fully faired version of the bike and the Japanese two-wheeler still comes with a 250cc, air-oil cooled single cylinder engine rated to deliver 26.5 Bhp and 22.6 Nm. The fuel injected 4-valve head engine comes with a 6 speed manual gearbox. The absence of fairing on the bike takes its weight down to 156 kgs, which is a full 5 kg lighter than the Gixxer SF 250. This weight loss will make the bike more perky and swift on the roads.
All the mechanicals save for the design and naked fairing on the Suzuki Gixxer 250 remain the same as the fully faired sibling, and this includes the tyres, suspension, as well as the chassis. The Gixxer 250 also comes with dual channel ABS as standard. This bike will provide and option for naked bike enthusiasts who wanted a refined product with a Suzuki badge. Although, the latest from Suzuki will face stiff competition from established rivals in the market in the form of Yamaha FZ25 (Rs 1.34 lakh) and the KTM 200 Duke (Rs 1.62 lakh).
The BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is priced by about Rs 11,000 more as compared to the outgoing BS4 version and gets fuel injection, alloy wheels and many more.
