The new motorcycle is based on the Hero Karizma XMR 210, and the brand will only retail 100 units of the CE001.

Hero MotoCorp, one of the largest two-wheeler giants, took the wraps off the new CE001 limited edition bike at Hero World 2024. The auto giant stole the spotlight at the bike show by unveiling the Xtreme 125R and the Mavrick. The manufacturer surprised everyone by revealing the new Karizma-based CE001 bike. As of now, the brand will only retail 100 units of the CE001.

The Hero CE001 pays homage to the founder of Hero Group, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, on his 100th birth anniversary. The CE in the new CE001 stands for Commemorative Edition. Hero MotoCorp will reveal the price of the motorcycle later, but the brand has promised to deliver all 100 units by July 2024. The CE001 motorcycle will be available for sale online. The company is expected to start the booking process in the coming weeks.

Hero CE001 marks a significant milestone for the company as it represents its first step into manufacturing limited edition offerings for its potential customers, and it is described as the most special motorcycle built in India. The CE001 is based on the new Karizma XMR 210, and the original version of Karizma was manufactured around the time when the founder of Hero Group, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, was the Chairman Emeritus of the company.

The Karizma XMR was built as a half-fairing variant, and it took cues from the outgoing original bike. However, the production model received a full fairing; the CE001 gets the half-fairing design. For the bodywork, the bikes utilize carbon fibre, which in turn makes them lighter than the production model. The limited edition motorcycle gets an upright riding posture.

The company has not shared any details regarding the engine equipped in the CE001, but the motorcycle is likely to get a more robust engine than the standard model. The Hero Karizma XMR comes with a trellis frame along with a 210-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 25 bhp and a peak torque of 20 Nm. The CE001 is expected to get a host of performance parts incorporating an Akrapovic exhaust.
