Hero Electric join hands with Massive Mobility to set up 10,000 EV charging stations in India

Hero Electric has partnered with Massive Mobility which is a Delhi-based EV charging solution startup. Under this partnership, both companies plan to set up 10,000 EV charging stations across India.

Both Hero Electric and Massive Mobility conducted a survey to gauge consumer behavior utilizing their charging stations. The main idea was to find out whether the consumers use the charging stations to completely charge their EVs or to just top up the charge in their EVs. As per findings, we get to know that consumers are more interested in getting smart chargers that could be easily found through an app online, 16 AMP charging stations, and long cords. Consumers can set up their profiles on the Massive Charging app. They can further make payments easily through the UPI framework and monitor usage.

“Recent announcements by the Govt of India over the last few months have helped propel the EV industry onto the next level.  We continue to expand our reach, setting up charging points and reskilling mechanics to create an ecosystem. As a pioneer brand in the EV segment, Hero has been investing in plotting low-cost charging stations over the last few years to foster the growth of the charging infrastructure. To date, we have set up close to 1650 charging stations and aim to set up 20K by the end of 2022. This association with Massive Mobility will broaden our efforts to reach our objective. This partnership will not only benefit Hero as a company but the industry as well,” as commented by Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric.

Talking about Massive Mobility, it is a startup that basically designs a smart connected network of charging solutions responsible for catering to 3-wheeler and 3-wheeler electric vehicles. The cloud-based solution enables the charging point and parking owners to offer charging services to people with an electric vehicle. Moving on, it aligns the hardware and software with the OEMs to provide a smooth and resistance-free experience to EV owners. The main aim behind collaborating with Hero Electric is to ramp up the charging infrastructure across the country thereby encouraging the adoption of electric mobility.
