Hero Karizma XMR 210 will compete with Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Pulsar F250, and Suzuki Gixxer SF250 when it launches in September.

A couple of months ago, it came to our attention that Hero MotoCorp is rejuvenating the iconic Karizma nameplate, intending to introduce a fresh motorcycle model. The company presented this eagerly anticipated bike to their esteemed Hero MotoCorp dealers at an exclusive event held in May 2023. Prior to this, test prototypes of the motorcycle had been sighted while undergoing testing.

Recently, a patent image has emerged, providing a sneak peek into the design of the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 210. The leaked patent reveals intriguing visual aspects of the bike, indicating a completely reimagined approach to the legendary Karizma brand. Beyond just aesthetics, the Karizma ZMR 210 will also boast a set of new and advanced components, adding further excitement to this much-awaited release.

Previously, the spy shots hinted at the new rendition of Karizma, and now the confirmation comes from the patent images, revealing its fresh appearance adorned with familiar design elements. The front fairing, featuring sharp lines, and a muscular fuel tank pay homage to its predecessor, creating a sense of continuity with the past. A notable detail is the positioning of the rearview mirrors on the fairing itself.

A glimpse from a slightly elevated angle in the patent image also discloses the inclusion of a raised clip-on handlebar, complemented by a circular digital instrument console. The upcoming Karizma iteration is set to feature a raised floating tail section, split-style seats, split grab rails, spoked alloy wheels, and a compact exhaust muffler, adding to its overall appeal.

The new underpinnings of Hero Karizma XMR 210

In a groundbreaking move, Hero is set to introduce its first-ever motorcycle built upon a trellis frame, featuring a box swingarm, departing from the conventional diamond frames. This strategic shift is aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness during the manufacturing process. The frame exhibits a tubular architecture, showcasing a seamless, single-piece design that seamlessly integrates the main frame with the rear sub-frame.

Interestingly, despite this innovative frame design, the upcoming motorcycle will sport conventional telescopic front forks. This sets it apart from the recently launched Xtreme 160R 4V, which falls lower in the lineup but boasts upside-down forks. Braking performance will be assured by disc brakes at both ends, with the front unit taking on a distinctive petal-shaped appearance.

Regarding the features, Hero is anticipated to present an impressive array of offerings in the Karizma XMR 210, positioning it as their most premium offering. Enthusiasts can expect to find a state-of-the-art TFT instrument console, seamless smartphone connectivity, the convenience of a slipper clutch, and the efficiency of ride-by-wire functionality.

Propelling the new-generation Karizma will be a cutting-edge 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, a remarkable first for Hero. The powertrain is estimated to produce an approximate output of 25 bhp and a peak torque of 22 Nm. While the official launch timeline remains undisclosed, the eagerly anticipated Hero Karizma XMR 210 is speculated to grace the Indian roads during the upcoming festive season.
