Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Disc Brake Variant Launched in India; Priced at INR 83,461

The Splendor Plus Xtec disc brake variant packs features like a real-time mileage indicator, a digital instrument console, and an i3S start/stop system.

The leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has rolled out the Splendor Plus Xtec disc brake variant in the Indian market. The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is now available at a price tag of INR 83,461 (ex-showroom), which makes it INR 3,550 more expensive than the outgoing model.

Aside from the updated braking setup, the Splendor Plus Xtec remains the same in terms of features and engines. The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec disc brake trim comes loaded with an LED headlamp, a real-time mileage indicator, a digital instrument console, an i3S start/stop system, and Bluetooth connectivity. It also houses a new side-stand cut-off feature, fuel tank, headlight cowl, and side panel.

Hero MotoCorp is offering the Splendor Plus Xtec disc brake variant in three color schemes: Black Sparkling Blue, Black Red, and Black Tornado Grey. The Hero Splendor has been the best-selling bike in the commuter segment. It is a perfect commuter for various buyers across rural and urban markets. The Splendor+ Xtec disc brake variant rolls on 18-inch wheels shod by 80-section tyres.

The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec commuter bike continues to draw power from a 97.2 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 7.9 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The motor is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. In comparison to the outgoing version, the Splendor Plus front disc brake version is 1.6 kg heavier, weighing 113.6 kg.

Suspension duties are done by 5-step rear adjustable dual shocks and telescopic front forks. For braking duties, the new Splendor Plus Xtec gets a new 130 mm drum brake and a 240 mm disc brake. As standard, the motorcycle receives an Integrated Braking System (IBS).
