Honda 2-Wheelers India is launching an all-new motorcycle in the form of CB350 Scrambler tomorrow in the country. The two-wheeler giant has officially released a teaser image with the title “Powered By Legacy Here To Create Stories” a few days back. This new motorcycle is based on the H’Ness CB350. It will be sold through the Honda BigWing dealership network.
The upcoming CB350 Scrambler will share most of its design and features with the H’Ness CB350. Features like an LED headlamp, tail-lamp, indicators, and a 15-litre fuel tank will come as standard. But from the teaser image, we could see that the rear end of the new bike is quite different from the H’ness CB350. It does not get chrome bits. Other changes expected to be seen on the bike are the blacked-out exhaust system and the new alloy wheels. The bike is likely to be a cafe racer and hence in that context, we can expect it to get a single-piece seat and a seat cowl. Besides these, it will also get clip-on handlebars and a forward-biased riding position. Just like the H’Ness CB350, the new CB350 Scrambler is likely to offer Bluetooth connectivity, a side-stand with engine inhibitor, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), and gear position indicator.
Talking about the engine, it is likely to be carried over from the H’Ness CB350. In the present state, the 350cc engine develops 21 bhp power @ 5500 rpm and 30 Nm peak torque @ 3000 rpm while being linked to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The upcoming bike will feature front and rear brakes with a dual-channel ABS system. Suspension duties will be handled by the same telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Price-wise, we can expect it to fall in the range of Rs 1.86 lakhs - Rs 1.92 lakhs (ex-showroom).
