Honda Cars India is bringing a limited-edition of the CRV SUV in the country at a price of Rs 29.50 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) and it might go on sale anytime soon

With the country in a festive period, automakers are launching new models in India. Our friends at Autocar reveal Honda Cars India's plans of bringing a limited edition CRV in the country. Honda CRV special edition launch price is said to be Rs 29.50 Lakhs while it will be available in limited numbers for the Indian buyers. The special edition Honda CRV is priced at Rs 1.23 Lakhs higher in comparison to the standard top-end variant of the SUV on sale currently in the domestic market. One important point to note here is that the special edition Honda CR-V styling and design are inspired from the CR-V facelift sold in the international markets. This is the second limited edition model from the Japanese automaker after the special edition Honda Amaze launch earlier this month.

In 2019, Honda CR-V facelift was unveiled and came with a number of cosmetic changes. The major design updates were aggressive looking front bumper, revamped rear bumper, horizontal LED DRL’s, large air dams and newly designed LED headlamps. Honda CR-V Special Edition will ride on a newly designed set of 18-inch alloys which will be finished in a dark grey colour. There will be chrome inserts in the ORVMs giving it a premium feel.

Moving on the interior, the cabin boasts of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, colour-TFT instrument cluster, Honda signature navigation system and remote engine start. Honda logo and hybrid badge come in blue highlights in the international model.

In India, Honda CR-V Special Edition will be powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The same unit powers the current model on sale in the country. The limited edition model will deliver 154 bhp of maximum power and 189 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be coupled with continuously variable transmission (CVT) gearbox as standard here. The BS4 CR-V diesel model was available with front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive systems but it was discontinued post the BS6 transition. Currently, only petrol-powered Honda CR-V with a 2WD system is sold in India.
