Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India and Maxxis Rubber India have joined hands to equip the recently launched Honda Hornet 2.0 with specific rubber. This follows the new trend of tyre companies associating with automotive brands. As per the exclusive association, the New Hornet 2.0 BS6 compliant motorcycle will come fitted with tyre size 110/70-17 M6233 up front while the rear will provide 140/70-17 M6234 configuration.
The Extramaxx tyre is emerging as one of the popular tyre options among brands and consumers alike. These tyres are known for giving bike riders a smooth ride in tough terrains. The Extramaxx is produced using the Aramid fibre which is the same fibre currently being used in bulletproof vests. The fibre aids the tyres in control while reducing the changes of a puncture. Its dual compound composition reduces the rolling resistance while increasing stability and tyre life. The ‘Carcass Breaker’ structure of Extramaxx is claimed by the manufacturer to be two times stronger than any ordinary tyre. The rear tyre side compound offers better traction and control during corners for Honda Hornet 2.0. The superwide and flatter tyre profile provides a larger contact patch, better grip, and handling at high speeds.
Commenting on the association, Mr Bing-Lin Wu, Marketing Head, Maxxis India, said, “We are very excited about this newly forged association with HONDA HORNET 2.0. The product has already generated a lot of anticipation in the India market and EXTRAMAXX tyres will further elevate the rider’s experience of driving this juggernaut. Our Extramaxx tyres, made with the World’s Most Advanced Technology Aramid Fibre has already proved its mettle amongst the most rugged terrains and gives the real ‘Thrill of Driving’ with utmost safety and comfort.”
He further added, “This Made-in-India EXTRAMAXX Tyres will redefine the performance benchmark in the industry and I’m confident that it will become the preferred choice of customers in the time to come.”
