The recall affects 7,290 units of the second-gen Amaze.

The recall is to fix a potential issue with the electric power steering on the all-New Amaze. Around 7,290 units of the second-gen compact sedan, made between April 17 and May 24, 2018, are affected.

Honda says the issue makes the power steering to feel heavy and cause the EPS indicator light to blink. Honda will replace the power steering unit after inspecting the EPS sensor harness, at no cost to the owner. Owners will be contacted by Honda starting July 26, 2018, so that they can get the part replaced at any dealership in India.

Put your car’s 17-character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the company’s microsite for this recall, which you can find via the official website.
