A new motorcycle from Honda Motorcycle has been teased, leaving fans waiting for further information. The car manufacturer teased a totally digital instrument cluster in a short video. Tachometer, digital speedometer reading, and gear position indicator are other features seen in the Honda teaser.
A fully digital instrument cluster that looks sleek and contemporary is seen in the most recent teaser, and it promises to take riding to a whole new level. The digital instrument cluster gives a clue of a technologically advanced motorcycle that will suit the tastes of today's tech-savvy riders, even though exact facts about the motorcycle are still being kept under wraps.
The new motorcycle is reportedly going to be dubbed the SP160. It might compete with vehicles like the TVS Apache RTR 160 and Hero Xtreme 160 R. The Honda motorcycle's ex-showroom pricing is most likely going to be around 1.15 lakh rupees. The company reportedly unveiled a series of new models earlier this year, highlighting its ambitious intentions for the future, particularly in India. A 350cc cruiser bike, two electric scooters, a 125cc scooter, and two 160cc bikes are among them. According to Autocar India, Honda could introduce a new 350cc motorbike around Diwali this year. This new model is most likely going to be a cruiser made to compete with the Meteor. Expect the same 348cc long-stroke single-cylinder engine used in the current CB350 models to be used, albeit with possible modifications.
According to media sources, Honda will launch two new electric scooters in the forthcoming fiscal year 2024 to enter the rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market. The design of the powertrains in these scooters will differ. Honda might decide to market one or both of these scooters as the Activa electric or e-Activa in order to capitalize on Activa's excellent brand recognition. For the current fiscal year, Honda has increased plans for automobiles using petrol engines.
The introduction of a new 125cc scooter and a 160cc motorcycle is scheduled for FY24. The 125cc scooter is anticipated to have the same basic structure as the Activa 125, but with a sportier appearance to compete with rivals like the TVS NTorq and Suzuki Avenis. As for the 160cc motorcycle, it is speculated to utilize the engine from the X-blade and Unicorn models.
With the addition of new colour schemes, one can expect the price of Jawa 42 to increase in the region of Rs 8,000- Rs 12,000
