Waiting period currently stands at one month for lower variants and 45 days for top-spec trims.

Honda launched the WR-V in March and according to the company’s latest press release, has clocked 12,000 bookings in less than two months. Dealers have stated that the lower variants of the cross-hatch come with a waiting period of close to one month, while the top-spec cars will take about 45 days for delivery.

As far as colour is concerned, buyers are taking to Carnelian Red as the most popular shade and it has a waiting period of one month, while you can get hold of a white WR-V immediately. Between petrol and diesel, it’s the latter that’s more popular – it comes with bits like cruise control and a push-start button.

The new Honda is powered by two engines - a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol motor, with prices starting at ₹7.75 lakh for the base petrol, going up to ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec diesel.

The WR-V features a five-speed manual gearbox only. There have been many enquiries for an automatic variant too, there has been no news of Honda fitting this car with an auto box. Dealers indicate demand for customisation as well, with some dealers offering a contrasting roof option for around ₹25,000.
