2020 Honda WR-V to get both petrol and diesel engines under the hood; likely to be launched soon.

Honda Cars India Limited is all set to launch the updated version of WR-V in the Indian market. Recently, the vehicle was spotted at a dealership yard ahead of its official launch. Honda WR-V Facelift is one of the first few models from the Japanese carmaker to come with BS6 compliant engines.

In terms of design, the 2020 Honda WR-V Facelift will get a new radiator grille that will sport horizontal slats. The halogen headlamps as seen in the outgoing model will be replaced with LED projector units integrated with DRLs and position lamps. The rear end gets new C-shaped LED tail lights. The facelifted Honda WR-V also boasts of a panoramic sunroof.

Honda WR-V Engine

The interior of 2020 Honda WR-V Facelift caters to new fabric upholstery. The sub-4 meter crossover will continue to feature steering-mounted controls, cruise control, push-button start, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. As for safety equipment, the 2020 WR-V Facelift will come equipped with dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, and ABS + EBD as standard.

Under the skin, Honda WR-V facelift offers a set of BS6 compliant petrol and diesel powertrains. The petrol variants will be powered by a 1.2-litre motor producing 90 bhp power and 110 Nm torque. The diesel variants will boast of a 1.5-litre mill that churns out 100 bhp of maximum power output with 200 Nm of peak torque. Both these engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while there is no confirmation on the introduction of an auto gearbox. 

Honda WRV Facelift 2020  once launched, will compete against the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon, The WR-V Facelift is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakhs - Rs 10 lakhs (ex-showroom).
