HPCL commences doorstep delivery of diesel

For now, it will be for commercial users with heavy diesel consumption in surrounding areas of Uran, Maharashtra.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has commenced doorstep delivery of diesel in Uran,
which is in the Raigad district in the state of Maharashtra. ‘HP fuel Connect’ will be delivering diesel to
select customers that require large quantities because of the heavy machinery within their premises.
The company intends to extend the service to other parts of the country as well.
The company will be using mid-sized trucks loaded with a storage tank and dispenser. Safety features
like bottom loading with jet sensor and pre-check valve, high and low-level sensors, nozzle boot
interlock will be part of the package to prevent an accident. Other features of the delivery system
include RFID tagging, GPS tracking and Geo fencing.
