Husqvarna Motorcycles is planning to unveil the all-new Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 in the Indian market soon. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 has been witnessed numerous times in India. The automaker has been testing the motorcycle for quite some time now. The speculations regarding the launch of the new Svartpilen 401 bikes in the Indian market have been going on for a few years now. However, Husqvarna has only launched the Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250 in India; both bikes are inspired by the KTM 250 Duke in 2020.

The new Svartpilen 401 is expected to be based on the new-generation KTM 390 Duke. The 390 Duke was launched in the Indian market a few years ago. The 401 motorcycle is likely to be powered by the 399-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine churns out 45.4 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The motorcycle will have a 6-speed gearbox, but the company may offer a bi-directional quickshifter in the motorcycle to keep costs in check.

When it comes to design language, the Svartpilen 401 is expected to be like the neo-retro scrambler Svartpilen 250, which comes with sharp bodywork and edgy panels. The new Svartpilen is expected to come equipped with a set of features similar to the new-generation KTM 390 Duke, including traction control, switchable ABS, ride-by-wire, and adjustable suspension.

The new-generation 390 Duke is available at a price of INR 3.14 lakh (ex-showroom), and the new bike is expected to be priced between INR 20,000 and 30,000. According to a few reports, the unofficial bookings for the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 have already begun at KTM dealerships for a token amount of INR 5,000. The motorcycle will rival the likes of the Yezdi Scrambler, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and the Royal Enfield Scram 411.
