The 1.5L diesel engine variants accounted for 56 percent of the overall bookings.

The 2020 new-generation Hyundai Creta has received more than 45,000 bookings, revealed the company on the sidelines of Tucson launch. The 1.5L diesel engine variants accounted for 56 percent of the overall bookings. The SUV was launched on March 16, just a week ahead of the two-month long nationwide lockdown, which started from March 23 in India. In fact, the South-Korean automaker has sold close to half a million (5 lakhs) units of the Creta SUV in the Indian market since its launch which was five years back in 2015.

The new-gen 2020 Hyundai Creta was the best-selling SUV in India for the last two months on a trot (May and June 2020). As for features, it comes loaded with Advanced Blue Link with over 50 connected features & ‘Hello Blue Link’ – wake-up word for voice activated in-car control, Drive Mode Select, Traction Control Modes, Voice Enabled Smart Panoramic Sunroof, Bose Premium Sound System (8 Speakers), Auto Healthy Air Purifier with Digital Display and Paddle Shifters. The company is offering WONDER warranty options with the SUV which includes 3 Years/unlimited kms or 4 years/60 000 kms or 5 years/50 000 kms. The 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta price starts at Rs 9.99 Lakhs and goes as high as Rs 17.20 Lakhs for the top-end variant. Both the prices are Ex. Showroom, Delhi.

Despite the diesel cars being more expensive by petrol models by quite a decent margin after the implementation of BS6 emission norms, Hyundai Creta diesel has been preferred by the buyers over petrol. In fact, in some cities, the diesel and petrol price have become identical but that too couldn't stop the buyers to opt for the Creta diesel variants. The SUV's BS6 compliant 1.5L turbocharged U2 CRDi motor has been sourced from the Seltos which delivers maximum power of 115bhp at 4000rpm and peak torque of 250Nm between 1500-2750rpm and claims ARAI certified 21.4 kmpl mileage. It can be availed with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The new-gen Hyundai Creta BS6 comes in five trim levels: E, EX, S, SX, and SX (O).
