It is strictly meant for left-hand-drive markets and not the one being tested in Korea for the Indian market

The Russia-spec Hyundai Creta has received a mid-cycle facelift. The SUV is strictly meant for left-hand-drive markets and besides Russia, it is also sold in China. The biggest difference between Russian and Indian versions of the SUV is the inclusion of an all-wheel-drive system in the Russia-spec Creta. Hyundai Creta sold in India misses out on the 4x4 drive system. It also comes with subtle cosmetic updates at the outside while the cabin is almost identical to its Indian sibling with similar dashboard layout and features.

The facelifted Creta in the Russian market replaces the previous-gen Creta which was phased out last year in India. For those confused, it is not the Creta facelift which is being tested in South Korea and will be launched in the Indian market next year. The Russian version of the Creta facelift witnesses changes at the front grille and bumper. The signature cascading grille comes with a different design while the grille inserts resemble the Alcazar which is launching today in India. The air intake inlet, finished in faux brushed aluminium, also appears larger in size. The side profile has been carried over from the ongoing model of the SUV, except the newly designed alloy wheels.

The rear profile of the Creta facelift also gets a few noticeable changes. The panel integrating the tail-lamps has been tweaked and it now comes with a couple of vertical creases on either side. The upper extensions of the tail-lamp cluster has been reduced while the bumper has been given a simpler appearance with aluminium inserts in the middle.

The cabin boasts of a dual-tone finish with prominent features being the four-spoke flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Mechanically, Hyundai Creta facelift is offered with a 121 bhp 1.6L petrol engine and a 148 bhp 2.0L petrol engine with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
