Hyundai Exter Awarded ‘India’s best design project’ at Design Awards 2023

Hyundai Motors received various accolades at India’s Best Design awards where Exter scored Indias’ Best Design Project and the team was awarded with amazing recognition of ‘India’s BEst In-House Studio.’

Hyundai Exter, Hyundai’s entry-level SUV has been awarded with ‘India’s Best Design Project’ at India’s Best Design Awards 2023 held by Design India. Whereas, Hyundai Motors received numerous accolades at the event in which Hyundai Advanced India team was distributed the award of ‘India’s Best In-House Studio.’

Chohee Park, HOD, HMIE Hyundai Advanced Design India, expressed gratitude for the appreciation, citing it to the cumulative efforts of the global design team and the sole India design team. The main focus was to grasp the aspirations of Gen MZ consumers across the country and revamp and bring to life the Hyundai SUV lifestyle. 

The Exter follows Hyundai's Global Design Identity, which is "Sensuous Sportiness," in an effort to produce a forward-thinking yet distinctive SUV. It proudly embodies Hyundai's SUV DNA and stands out on the road thanks to its avant-garde exterior styling. Both customers and industry professionals have praised the car, confirming Hyundai's forward-thinking strategy and the team's commitment.

The Hyundai Exter involves evolving design components that are inspired by outdoor travel. Its striking features capture the spirit of a modern, lifestyle-focused SUV. The Exter promises an SUV design that exceeds customer expectations with its commanding front fascia, exclusive Signature H-LED DRLs, and iconic character. The 1.2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Exter produces 83 BHP and 114 Nm of torque when running on gasoline. The power output in the CNG configuration is downgraded to 69 BHP and 95.2 Nm. While the CNG version only has a manual transmission, the petrol variant comes standard with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT).

The Exter's 1.2L Kappa petrol engine, which is also found in other Hyundai models, produces 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. The Exter offers either a manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT and is available in both gasoline and CNG versions. The CNG version, which uses the same engine, has slightly lower power outputs of 69 horsepower and 95.2 Nm of torque. In terms of efficiency, the CNG version gets about 27.1 km/kg of mileage while the petrol version gets 19.4 km/l.

The Hyundai Exter does not cut corners when it comes to features, despite its focus on cost-effectiveness. It has built-in navigation, automatic climate control, wireless charging, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, factory-installed dashcams, automatic projector headlamps, keyless entry, and keyless entry and start. Six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill assist control, an Anti-lock Braking System with rear parking sensors, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and a camera, as well as three-point seatbelts for every passenger, all contribute to the vehicle's high level of safety.

Hyundai Exter launched on July 10, 2023 in the Indian market and still expeditiously makes a substantial impact in the Automobile landscape with its ravishing design and unmatched features.
