Hyundai has a large range of products in the international market and even a wide lineup of variants for each vehicle. The Korean carmaker offers the Hyundai i30 in the UK market and it has now updated the i30 range with a new entry-level i30 N variant that has got a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.
Priced from £19,995 (Rs. 18.30 lakhs), the new Hyundai i30 N variant makes it more affordable than before. The new base trim of the i30 N is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 120 PS with a peak torque of 171 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
With this new engine, the Hyundai i30 N does 0-100 km/hr sprint in 11.1 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/hr. Apart from these mechanical changes, the Hyundai i30 N entry-level offering gets exclusive aesthetics as well. It comes with sporty bumpers, N Line badging, twin exhausts, body coloured door handles, gloss black ORVMs and 17-inch wheels with Michelin tyres.
The interiors of the car gets N branded steering wheel and gearshift lever, N Line sports seats and black headliner. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with DAB radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and reversing camera.
In terms of safety it features Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Alert and Hill Start Assist Control. The higher variants of the i30 N comes with a 1.4-litre T-GDi with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT.
