Hyundai India has retained the coveted title of the country's leading exporter of passenger vehicles once again. Giving a thumbs-up to the 'Make-in-India' initiative of the Indian Government, the South-Korean automaker exported 1.04 Lakh units between April 2020 - March 2021. Additionally, the company exported more than 2 Lakh units of Creta and Venue to several overseas markets such as Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Nepal and Chile. The all-new Hyundai i20 was also exported to several key markets across Africa and Latin America region.
Commenting on the remarkable achievement, Mr. S S Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “Despite numerous challenges emerging out of the global pandemic, uncertainty in various markets, restriction on imports and disruption in supply-chain, HMIL has continued to drive operational excellence to ensure customer satisfaction. An export of 1 04 342 units in FY 20-21 stands testament to our indomitable spirit.
