The car will come with a single 1.4-petrol motor.

The carmaker’s new Reina sedan for China is actually a heavily updated version of the current-gen Verna that’s on sale here in India.

This car features the company’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, it’s front is now more in line with the current-gen Hyundais like the Elantra and the all-new Verna (which is yet to come to India). The Reina gets a large hexagonal grille in the front with larger, swept-back headlamps. The bumper gets subtle creases with triangular fog lamps. From the side, this car is similar to the current-gen Verna, and at the back, the Reina uses similar, but slightly larger, tail-lamps to the ones seen on the pre-facelift Xcent in India. The licence plate is on the rear bumper, so the wide boot lid area is clean.

The Reina will feature a similar dashboard to the outgoing Verna, with subtle tweaks and more add-ons for its infotainment system. This car is powered by a single 1.4-litre petrol motor that makes 95hp. Power is channelled via a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed torque-convertor automatic.

There’s no information on whether or not this sedan will come to India, however, Hyundai is readying a slew of launches for India, including the next-gen Verna, the heavily updated i20 hatch and the Ioniq hybrid car.
