Upcoming Hyundai Styx SUV to outshine rivals in terms of features, creature comforts.

Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Mahindra TUV300, the average Indian consumer is spoilt for choice in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment. To add to the mix, Hyundai is going to make an entry into the segment with Carlino concept based Styx compact SUV.

Hyundai has an image of stuffing their cars with a plethora of features such as rear AC vents, wireless charging points to name a few. Now the Mahindra XUV300 may be loaded with features, and Hyundai is bound the same way as far as their sub compact SUV Styx is concerned.

Just like the Mahindra XUV300, maybe the new Hyundai SUV will command a premium price in the market and will avoid locking horns with relatively cheaper rivals. Once again, like the Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai too is too late to the party of sun compact SUVs, and the company will have to work a lot on their SUVs in order to unseat formidable rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.

The exterior features that will be making their way on the latest sub compact SUV from Hyundai could be electronic sunroof, dual-tone paint on the body, diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps and LED tail lamps to name a few. As far as the interiors of Styx are concerned, the SUV could come packed with features such as cruise control, hill launch assist, vehicle stability control and others. With the upcoming safety norms set to arrive in the near future, the Korean car maker will properly equip its new SUV with safety features as well, these may include standard dual airbags, ABS+EBD and rear parking sensors among others and the top models of Styx could come with even more safety gear.

Hyundai will present their all-new sub-compact SUV Styx at New York International Motor Show. As far as the Indian launch is concerned, that may take place in the middle of the year, sometime before the festive season starts.

As has been the trend with all upcoming cars recently, the lenses of car lovers have found the new SUV from Hyundai being tested on road several times. The company has so far refrained from disclosing any engine details and there have been no leaks on that front as well. However, the rumor mill has it that Hyundai may equip the Styx with the newly developed 1L turbo petrol engine rated for 100 Bhp. Whereas, the diesel mill could be the 1.4L turbo engine borrowed from Verna. As far as the transmission is concerned, like all popular rivals, Styx will be paired with both a manual and an automatic gearbox.
