The new Hyundai SUV will be positioned sit between the Tucson and Creta in the carmaker’s global line-up

Hyundai recently released a short promo of its new SUV, christened the ‘Kona’. It will be based off the same platform as the i20 and could share its engines with i30 hatchback sold internationally. This car half a size smaller than the Creta, and is set to face off against the popular Nissan Juke crossover.

The Kona is all about style and this will be subtly incorporated into the car’s design. Hyundai seems set to unveil the car at the upcoming New York auto show in June this year, though we have no word on when the car will be available globally or whether the model will be released here in India or not.
