Perched at top, the sales of Hyundai Venue seem to be climbing even though it has been some time since the vehicle was launched in the Indian market. This leads one to ponder as to what makes the Hyundai Venue such a viable option in the segment? Therefore, today we take a look at the reasons why customers are choosing the Venue sub-4 metre compact SUV over other options in the market.

Looks

First impressions do matter and Hyundai Venue scores massively over other rivals in the segment when it comes to first impressions. The waterfall grille at the front with chrome work on the grille lending a distinct identity to the South Korean maker’s SUV. The headlamps are placed below the turn indicators here, a design trend that is growing increasingly common in the industry. The LED DRLs in the Venue enclose the headlamps of the car and are placed in the lower part of the bumper. This lends the car a very futuristic look, and will make sure that the SUV remains an attractive option in the segment for the coming times.

Engine and Transmission

The South Korean maker is offering a lot of options in the engine and gearbox department with the Venue which ensures that the SUV has something for everyone in the market. The first among three engine options is 1L 3 cylinder turbo petrol (120 PS and 175 Nm)this new engine comes with a 7-speed twin clutch gearbox and a 6 speed manual. This engine is by far the most powerful among the options of the SUV and as per the brand the 7-speed dual clutch transmission option of the turbo petrol unit can propel the SUV to a top speed of 187 kmph, which is very fast for a car in the segment. The 120 PS and 172 Nm of the turbo petrol engine can take the SUV from 0-60 kmph in just 5.1 seconds! The smoothness of DCT and the power of turbo petrol makes Venue a unique performer in the segment.
