Maruti launched the BS6 version of Ertiga in the price range of Rs 7.59-10.13 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom). The MPV is a perfect choice for those who are looking forward to buying a small practical car but have more than five members in the family. It is offered in four trims namely L, V, Z, and Z+. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 105 bhp power and 138 Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with a 4-speed automatic transmission as an option. The CNG variant uses the same petrol powertrain but without the Smart Hybrid tech. The CNG option is only available in the VXi variant. With one facelift and the engine update, the current Ertiga offers more features and safety as compared to the older version.
Toyota updated the Innova Crysta to meet the BS6 emission norms. It is priced in the range of Rs 15.37-24.06 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom). Toyota Innova Crysta BS6 flaunts a more modern appearance in line with Toyota’s global design language. It is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol engine and a 2.4-litre diesel engine with both manual and automatic variants. The 2.8-litre diesel-AT powertrain will not be offered in the BS6 era. The BS6 Innova Crysta is a good option to be used as a family car due to its spacious interiors.
The Mahindra Marazzo is priced in the range of Rs 10.00-14.76 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). The MPV showcases a shark-inspired design language and is based on an entirely new platform. Available in four trims, the Mahindra Marazzo can be opted as a seven-seater or an eight-seater. It draws power from a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 121 bhp power and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox delivering power to the front wheels. It gets two captain seats on the seven-seater model with leatherette seat upholstery. If you are looking for a spacious family car with a host of features in the range of Rs 10-14 lakh, then the Marazzo will be a perfect choice.
Kia Carnival is the most premium and expensive MPV on the list. It is priced in the range of Rs 24.95-33.95 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). The MPV is offered in three trims namely Premium, Prestige, and Limousine. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre diesel engine that churns out 200 bhp power and 440 Nm torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Carnival has been designed with the modern family in mind. It comes with a versatile seating combination to make room for everyone and also provide comprehensive safety.
