Hero MotorCorp launched its first BS6 compliant scooter Pleasure Plus at Rs 54,800 (Ex-Showroom). It is powered by a 110.9 cc fuel-injected engine, also found in the Duet and Standard Maestro Edge. The engine churns out 8.1 bhp power and 8.7 Nm torque. The scooter gets drum brakes at both the ends. The combined braking system comes as a standard feature for better safety.
2020 Honda Activa 6G is priced at Rs 63,912 (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 109cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, which makes it 10 percent more fuel-efficient. The engine produces 7.68 bhp of top power and 8.79 Nm of peak torque. The BS6 Activa retains the same silhouette as its BS4 predecessor. The main highlight of the scooter is the silent start system.
The Honda Dio was completely reworked when the company upgraded it to meet the BS6 emission norms. It is priced at Rs 59,990 (Ex-Showroom). The scooter continues to be powered by the same 109cc, single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 8 bhp power and 8.91 Nm of torque while mated to a V-Matic transmission. In terms of braking feature, the Dio gets 130 mm brakes on both the ends with Combined Braking System as standard. Honda has also redone the styling and added many new features like a fully-digital instrument cluster, silent-start system and an external fuel filler cap.
TVS Jupiter Classic ET-Fi is the first in the Jupiter portfolio to become BS6 compliant. Its price starts at Rs 67,911 (ex-showroom) while it is powered by the upgraded version of the same single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces around 7.8 bhp of maximum power and 8 Nm of peak torque. TVS claims that the fuel efficiency has increased by 15 percent. The scooter is offered with 130 mm dual drum brakes as standard, while the front disc is provided as optional.
