The company has three products namely Jawa, Jawa Forty-Two, and Perak in its portfolio.While Royal Enfield gave a BS6 update to its highest-selling motorcycle the Classic 350 recently. Jawa Forty Two vs Royal Enfield Classic 350: Price and Variants in India

The BS6 Jawa Forty Two is available in two variants namely single-channel ABS and double-channel ABS. The single-channel ABS variant is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom). While the double-channel ABS comes at Rs 1.74 lakhs (ex-showroom). Whereas the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is also available in two variants - single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS. The company recently upgraded the dual-channel ABS to meet BS6 Emission Norms. The bike was re-launched at 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom) after the BS6 update.

Jawa Forty Two vs Royal Enfield Classic 350: Features

The Jawa Forty-Two gets a round-shaped halogen headlamp with chrome bezel, wide blacked-out handlebars along with a flat bench seat. Further, the bike gets classic gold pinstripes on the fuel tank and mudguard. There is also a signature cigar-shaped twin-chrome exhaust pipe. The bike sits on a double-cradle frame. While the BS6 Classic 350 features a halogen headlamp and bulb indicators, a single saddle seat with springs along with graphics on the fuel tank. It sits on a single downtube frame. Furthermore, Jawa Forty-Two gets a round-shaped off-set instrument cluster with a digital read-out for odometer while the BS6 Classic 350 gets a simple analog unit with just an odometer. The Jawa Forty-Two features a 19-inch wheel at the front and 18-inch wheel towards the rear. Whereas the Classic 350 gets 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels.

 

Suspension duties in the case of BS6 Jawa Forty-Two are handled by telescopic hydraulic front forks and Gas Canister - twin hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Talking about the BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350, then it gets telescopic forks up front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers towards the rear with 5-step adjustable preload. As for the brakes, then BS6 Jawa Forty-Two comes with a 280mm disc with a floating caliper in the front and a 153 mm drum brake unit at the rear. While the BS6 Classic 350 gets a 280 mm disc with a double piston caliper and a 240 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the back with dual-channel ABS. 

 

Jawa Forty Two vs Royal Enfield Classic 350: Engine Specification

The BS6 Jawa Forty-Two draws power from a 293cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 26.14 bhp power and 27.05 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Its powertrain is based on Mahindra Mojo’s engine but it has been tuned in such a way that it suits the bike. While the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 model is now powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine with an electronic fuel injection system. The engine here generates 19.1 bhp power and 28 Nm peak torque. The mill is offered with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.

 

Jawa Forty Two vs Royal Enfield Classic 350: Color Options

The BS6 Jawa Forty-Two is offered in six color options namely Halley Teal, Galactic Green, Starlight Blue Lumos Lime, Nebula Blue, and Comet Red. On the other hand, the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 is provided in six colors that are Stealth Black, Chrome Black, Gunmetal Grey, Classic Black, Stormrider Sand, and Airborne Blue.
