2021 Jeep Compass Facelift to launch on January 23; bookings open
Jeep India is expected to launch the Compass Facelift on the 23rd of January 2021. It is also being speculated that dealers in select cities have started accepting bookings for the new model. The Jeep Compass Facelift was recently unveiled at the 18th Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The four-wheeler has been spotted doing test runs on Indian roads on multiple occasions in the past. Talking about the interior of the upcoming Compass Facelift, it gets an all-new dashboard with double-stitched leather upholstery and brushed aluminum trim. Further, it will come equipped with a plethora of features. These will include a large floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, voice control, LED ambient lighting, a new 3-spoke steering wheel, a full-digital instrument console, and a panoramic sunroof.
Under the bonnet, the SUV will get the same powertrain options as the outgoing model. These include a 2.0-litre multi-jet diesel engine and a 1.4-litre multi-air petrol unit. In the current format, the diesel motor dishes out a maximum power output of 170 bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. While the petrol mill belts out 160 bhp power with 250 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual as standard, a 7-speed DCT for the petrol engine, and a 9-speed automatic for a diesel unit.
