Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition Launched in India at Rs 20.14 Lakhs

Jeep Compass continues to drive forward in the Indian automobile market with the launch of a Limited-Edition called Night Eagle. The introduction of Jeep Compass Night Eagle celebrates the third Anniversary of this compact SUV. Thus the New Compass Night Eagle Edition petrol variant price starts at Rs 20.14 lakhs while the diesel manual variant will set you back by Rs 20.75 lakhs. The top-of-the-line diesel model offering automatic transmission priced at Rs 23.31 lakhs. All prices mentioned here are (ex-showroom), India. Night Eagle is the first Global Limited-Edition model of the Jeep Compass. The SUV is available in four colours namely - Vocal White, Exotica Red, Brilliant Black and Magnesio Grey. The four-wheeler arrives in India after it’s launch in the International Markets like Brazil and the United Kingdom.

In comparsion to the normal Jeep Compass, the Night Eagle Edition gets an all-black treatment on the exterior as well as the interior. The front grille, bumper, roof panel, 18-inch alloy wheels are all now blacked-out. Its cabin provides exclusive black techno leather seats with black trim for the upholstery and dashboard. Features wise, the Night Eagle Edition is identical as the Longitudinal variant. Some key highlights of Jeep Compass Night Edition include the mention of a 8.4-inch touchscreen Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, powered wing mirrors, front cornering lamps among many others. As for Safety features onboard, it caters to dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and a reverse parking camera. Further assisting the driver in navigating tough terrains are elements like Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control (TC), Cruise Control and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

If we talk about the powertrains, the engines are the same ones powering the standard Jeep Compass model. The petrol model is powered by a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, multi-air turbo-engine. The engine delivers 160 bhp of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque being mated to 7-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard. There is no manual transmission  available with the  petrol model. Coming to the diesel, there are two trims in the line-up propelled by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. Both engines produce 173 bhp  power and 350 Nm torque. It is the base variant that provide a front-wheel drive system along with a 6-speed manual transmission. However the top-end variant stands to offer a four-wheel-drive (4WD) with a  9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
