Jeep Compass Models Being Offered With Major Discounts

Ever since launching Compass as their first vehicle in the Indian market, Jeep has seen the Compass earn it a good reputation in the country. However, the recent arrival of new competitors like the Tata Harrier and MG Hector has seen the Compass take a hit in sales. Therefore in order to keep the sales momentum going, the US carmaker’s SUV s now being offered with good discount at the dealer level. There are reports on the internet stating that the US maker’s SUV is being offered with discounts as high as Rs. 1.2 lakhs at the dealership level. However, since the entire discount is being offered at the dealer level, it also may vary from one dealer to the other. The discounts also vary as per the variant. Here is a variant-wise list, however be sure to check and confirm the discount with your local dealer.

Jeep Compass Sport (petrol 4X2 MT) – Rs. 50,000 as cash discount

Jeep Compass Longitude (diesel 4X2 MT) – up to Rs. 1.2 lakh discount

Jeep Compass Longitude (O) (diesel 4X2 MT) – up to Rs. 1.2 lakh discount

Jeep Compass Limited (diesel 4X2 MT) – up to Rs. 1.2 lakh discount

Jeep Compass Limited (O) (diesel 4X2 MT) – up to Rs. 1.2 lakh discount

Jeep Compass Longitude (O) (petrol) – up to Rs. 65,000 discount

Jeep Compass Limited (petrol) – up to Rs. 65,000 discount

Jeep Compass Limited Plus (both petrol and diesel)  – up to Rs. 80,000 discount

Jeep Compass Trailhawk – Benefits worth Rs. 30,000

Talking of the engine on Jeep Compass, it is a 2L diesel unit made by Fiat and is rated to produce 173 PS and 350 Nm. As of now it only comes with a manual gearbox. The other option on Compass is the 1.4L turbo petrol unit rated to produce 160 Bhp and 250 Nm. The petrol comes with the option of a 7 speed twin clutch gearbox as well. While the diesel variants come with an AWD option, the petrol is only offered with a front wheel drivetrain.

There are also reports on the internet stating that the brand is working on bringing out automatic options for the lower diesel trims of the vehicle as well. The reports state that the move by the company is expected to happen sometime before the introduction of the BS-VI emission norms, around the festive season in India. This would bode well for the company as the sales generally get a huge spike during the festive season which happens to fall around the October-November period.
