Jaguar Land Rover invests £7 million in Classic Woks headquarters

The new Classic Works headquarters will handle restore, maintain and sell older vehicles.

The new £7million (₹51.61 crore approx.) Classic Works headquarters, situated in Coventry, will handle the company’s fast-growing global business of restoring, maintaining and selling old vehicles. The Classic Works facility will receive additional support from another new classic cars facility in Essen, Germany set to open in the coming months.

The company set up its classic cars business around a year ago and it’s chiefly operated from the old Browns Lane factory in Coventry, England. This facility produced a limited run of “continuation” Lightweight E-Types and next in line, are Nine XKSS models.

Classic Works’ core mission is to improve, restore and support older Jaguars and Land Rovers, and to find and restore vehicles that will be sold subsequently according to Tim Hannig, director, Jaguar Land Rover Classic Legends programme. The facility will also help repair, restoration and maintenance of models that are currently out of production. It will sell over 30,000 parts and lend various services for outdated models.
