BMW Motorrad will launch its K 1600 B and the R nineT Racer at India Bike Week (IBW) in Vagator, Goa tomorrow. The two bikes are already available in India as the К 1600 GTL and the R nineT, and these are two additional variants that will go on sale.
The K 1600 B was first unveiled in October, 2016 and it is powered by a 1,649cc, inline-six, liquid-cooled engine that puts out 160hp and 175Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The K 1600 GTL is priced at ₹26.3 lakh (Standard) and ₹29 lakh (Pro) (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi), and based on international prices, you can expect the Bagger to undercut the standard variants.
The R nineT Racer uses the same 1,170cc, air-cooled, boxer twin with an output of 110hp and 116Nm. While the standard R nineT is priced at Rs 18.2 lakh in India, and the Racer could be priced slightly cheaper. The BMW Motorrad stand at India Bike Week will have 14 bikes on display, including the BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1200 R, BMW R nineT, BMW R nineT Scrambler and BMW K 1600 GTL and others in addition to the new BMW K 1600 B and BMW R nineT Racer.
