Kawasaki India has launched the 2022 Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition at a starting price of Rs 6.79 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. To be available in a Candy Diamond Brown color, it commemorates the 50 years legacy of brand Z. Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition will be limited to merely 20 units while the deliveries will start in March 2022. The iconic 'Fireball' colourway of the original Z1 was chosen for the special edition model. It also gets a few subtle cosmetic updates over the regular motorcycle.
Flaunting a modern retro styling, Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition is presented in a special colouring of Candy Diamond Brown with Gloss black frame finish. The spoke style cast wheels are painted in Gold colour while there is a commemorative ‘Z 50th’ logo at the top of the fuel tank. The bike boasts of a specially textured seat leather with contrast colour stitching to offer a relaxed riding position. Sitting on a lightweight trellis frame, the Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition features all-LED lighting including the round headlamp. It retains the horizontal back-link rear suspension and dual-dial instrumentation with multi-function LCD from the standard model.

Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition is powered by a 649cc parallel-twin petrol engine which generates maximum power output of 67 bhp at 8000 rpm and peak torque performance of 64 Nm at 6700 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission. The braking duties are helmed by 300mm dual discs at front while there is a 220mm single disc unit at the rear. "Kawasaki motorcycles possess both power and grace so are often recognized as being different to other bikes. This results from certain guiding principles adopted at the design stage. Rideology is Kawasaki’s rider-centric development philosophy focused on how the riding experience offered by a Kawasaki is crafted, ensuring that our machines are fun to ride and rewarding to control," said the company in an official statement.
