Although sharing its foundations with the Hyundai Venue, Kia's smallest SUV will still receive a completely new exterior design as well as a distinct interior.

In addition to revealing new prices for the Seltos, the carmaker also announced the launch of the Kia QYI compact SUV in India in the second half of 2020. Kia is planning to launch its compact SUV (codenamed QYI) around August 2020, around the same time that Kia Seltos was launched last year, following the introduction of the Carnival MPV at the 2020 Auto Expo.

Unlike the squarish layout of the Hyundai Venue, another and gradually modified body shell is represented by the Kia QYi. With the exception of the raked-back windshield and the taillamps ' slight subtleties, the disguise found out how to conceal the back configuration.

Kia QYI is going to be the first Kia to hit large volumes. The new little Kia will be based on the Venue of Hyundai. It will compete against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300.

We expect the Kia mini SUV to use the same set of units as the Hyundai Venue, but with BS6 compliant, according to the reports coming up. The 120 hp 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 6-MT/7-AT in the new mini SUV will definitely be provided by Kia. It is also possible to have a 90 hp 1.4-liter diesel engine with 6-MT.

In creating new models and concepts at the Auto Expo, Kia is poised to grow its customer base significantly. This move would increase its impact. If the price is right and the equipment is a crowd puller, the new SUV will have the potential to become a major volume puller for the company. Some car experts say that their prices are likely to start from Rs 7 lakh and climb up to Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
