Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition spotted at a dealer’s yard; likely to be launched soon

Kia Motors launched the Seltos back in August 2019 in the Indian market. The compact SUV has been one of the best-selling vehicles in the country since its launch. With the onset of the festive season, Kia Motors is planning to launch the Seltos Anniversary Edition with am aim to celebrate its overdue one year anniversary in the Indian market. The new SUV has reached the dealer’s yard which is evident from the spy images of the Seltos Anniversary Edition that were leaked online recently. This gives us a fair idea of how the variant will be different from the Selto's regular models.

The Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition is based on the mid-spec HTX trim. In comparison to the regular HTX variant, the new Anniversary Edition will get a silver front skid plate. It will also feature Tangerine orange accents on the foglight surrounds, side sills, wheel center caps, Seltos badge, and faux dual mufflers. On the sides, the SUV gets Raven black 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear end boasts of Raven Black skid plate with fins. The four-wheeler also gets a 1st Anniversary Edition sticker. Dimensionally, the Anniversary Edition is 60 mm longer than the regular Seltos in the Indian market. This increase in length is due to the revised front and rear skid plated. There is no impact on the boot space due to this.

Talking about the interior features, the Seltos Anniversary Edition will feature leatherette upholstery. Furthermore, it will also get full black trim for the door pads. The manual variants will get smart remote engine start. Not many details about the cabin have been revealed yet.

Under the bonnet, the Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition is likely to feature two engine options. A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that belts out 115 bhp power and 144 Nm torque. The engine will be linked to a 6-speed manual transmission along with IVT automatic gearbox as an option. There will also be a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that will generate 115 bhp power and 250 Nm torque while being mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition will be available in two-new exclusive dual-tone exterior colour options namely Gravity Grey/ Aurora Black Pearl and Steel Silver/Aurora Black Pearl along with the existing Aurora Black Pearl and Glacier White Pearl/Aurora Black Pearl options. The new SUV is likely to reach showrooms across the country soon. As for the price, it will be slightly pricier than the regular HTX trim. This new Limited Edition Variant will be sold for a limited period of time.
