Unveiled in a Concept form at the Auto Expo 2020, Kia Sonet price begins at Rs 8 lakhs

Kia Motors India as stated at this year's Auto Expo 2020, will be introducing the Sonet for customers in India. This compact SUV will be positioned below the popular Seltos in the brand’s product portfolio. However, it is likely to be a little pricier than expected. According to a news report, Kia Sonet is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakhs - Rs 13 lakhs (ex-showroom).  With a starting price of around Rs 8 lakhs, Kia is likely to equip the entry-level variant with a host of features. Kia Sonet prices have been set at a higher band to ensure that it is perceived as a high-end product. Also, it does not cannibalize the sales of Hyundai Venue which is priced at Rs 6.70 lakhs (ex-showroom). The SUV once launched will compete against the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza. Originally, the launch was scheduled for August 2020 but due to Coronavirus outbreak, it has been delayed.

Cosmetically, the Sonet SUV Interior is likely to feature LED headlamps with LED DRLs and LED tail lamps. On the sides, it will get 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Other highlighted features will include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, UVO Connect connected vehicle services along with Apple Car Play and Andriod Auto, BOSE premium audio system, flat-bottom steering wheel, wireless charging, six airbags, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
