The Defender V8 Bond Edition will be limited to merely 300 units across the world

Jaguar Land Rover has rolled out the Defender V8 Bond Edition, inspired by the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, ahead of its world premiere later this month. Being limited to merely 300 units across the world, it will be available to order in both 3-door and 5-door versions. Besides Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition, Range Rover Classic, Range Rover Sport SVR and Land Rover Series III also make an appearance in the Daniel Craig starrer flick which will be released in cinemas around the world from September 30, 2021.

Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition Features

The SUV gets an extended Black Pack with 20-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels, Xenon Blue front brake calipers and a ‘Defender 007’ rear badge. In addition, it comes equipped with illuminated ‘Defender 007’ treadplates and a specially developed touchscreen start-up animation for the Pivi Pro infotainment system to honour Land Rover’s long partnership with the James Bond franchise. The occupants will also be greeted with unique ‘007’ puddle lamp graphics. The cabin will feature laser etching detailing that it is ‘one of 300’ and the SV Bespoke logo. Needless to mention, each unit is commissioned by the vehicle personalisation experts at SV Bespoke in the UK.

Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition Engine

Under the hood, the SUV has the 5.0L supercharged petrol engine which is identical to the recently launched standard version of the Defender V8. This engine belts out top power of 518 bhp and peak torque of 625 Nm while paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It does a 0-100kmph sprint in just 5.2 seconds along with a top speed of 240 kmph. The company claims that it is the fastest and most dynamically rewarding Defender yet. The V8 Bond Edition gets a new Electronic Active Rear Differential and a characteristic V8 supercharged soundtrack. Helmed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, No Time To Die will feature Daniel Craig who had returned for his fifth and final film as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007
