Post easing of Lockdown 4.0, Hyundai Motor India seems to be recovering from the effects of Coronavirus shutdown with the help of their two very important products. The next-generation Hyundai Creta and Verna facelift have helped the company achieve an overall milestone of 90,000 bookings.
With zero sales last month, the South Korean automaker would have had a sigh of relief looking at these numbers. In just a matter of 22 days, the automaker according to a couple of media reports is believed to have delivered over 5,600 vehicles and serviced more than one lakh cars spread across 530 cities. The company which restarted operations on the 8th of May is slowly but steadily reopening its dealerships as well. The production facility and outlets are following Central and State Government's safety and social distancing guidelines.

Coming back to the 90,000 bookings, the support from fifth-generation Hyundai Creta and Verna goes to show that the market is looking brighter. With the right product and mix customer attraction is not that a big deal, however from bookings to turn into actual sales is something that you and I will have to wait and watch in the coming days. Though a crucial point to take away from this discussion is that during the Coronavirus Pandemic, brands are seeking innovative ways for selling their products. One such initiative is the online sales platform called 'Click to Buy'. In the day of Coronavirus, this reduces physical contact, allows the user to opt for a test drive, if selected make the payment online and get the vehicle delivered to his or her doorstep. Speaking about the test drive and deliveries, the automaker is making sure that the vehicle is properly sanitised and then only handed over in both these conditions.
