Mahindra Xdreno might be the name of the upcoming pickup truck based on Bolero.

Mahindra & Mahindra have recently filed the trademark for the name ‘Xdreno’. It is being speculated that the name might be used for the upcoming range of pickup trucks based on Bolero. The homegrown automaker has revealed a product roadmap pertaining to commercial vehicle and passenger vehicle segments. It plans to introduce fourteen new products in its commercial vehicle segment by 2026.

Under the name ‘Xdreno’, we can expect four new compact pick-up trucks to be developed on the platform of Bolero. The plan further revealed two additional full-size pickup trucks based on the Bolero Classic are likely to arrive in 2023-24. Currently, a total of three trucks based on the Bolero are being sold by Mahindra in the market. These include the Pik-Up, Maxitruck Plus, and Camper. Talking about the Bolero, it was first introduced in 2000. It continues to be the best-selling UV from Mahindra since its launch despite minimal updates. Besides these, it caters to buyers both in rural and urban sections of the country.

Moving on to the last mile mobility range, it comprises electric vehicles such as Atom, new Treo, Udo, and the all-new vehicle based on the LMM platform. These products will be introduced under the brand’s Born EV range and will feature an electrified powertrain. The small commercial range consisting of the new Jeeto EV and the new urban pick-up range consisting of 2-3 goods & passenger carriers is in the works as well. As for the passenger vehicle segment, Mahindra will be introducing the XUV700 seven-seater later this year followed by the new-gen Scorpio in early 2022.
